Which supplementary insurance for children is right for our family?
Basic health insurance can be supplemented in several ways; for example, with dental insurance or flexible hospital insurance. But which plans should you choose? Read on to discover the types of supplementary insurance available and the benefits they provide.
Basic health insurance is compulsory and always offers the same benefits regardless of provider. All newborns must be registered for basic health insurance within three months of their birth. This then applies retrospectively from the day on which they were born.
Should I take out supplementary insurance for my child?
Supplementary insurance plans differ from provider to provider. They close gaps in basic health insurance coverage, offer additional benefits that go beyond the actual treatment, and can reduce financial risks. The insurance plans that are useful or even essential for you depend on your family’s circumstances and your preference as to how fully your child should be covered.
