Your choice:
you decide who receives the money if you die, for example your domestic partner, a child or someone else.
Use at your discretion:
you or your dependants are free to choose how to spend the money.
Fixed amount:
you receive the payment (after a medical examination) even if you or your relatives are entitled to money from other insurance policies.
Flexible amount:
you choose how much you want the insurance to pay out: between CHF 10,000 and CHF 200,000. The higher the amount, the higher your premiums.
Severity:
if you are disabled, the payment amount depends on the severity of your disability.

The difference lies in the cause: insurance with accident cover only pays out in the event of an accident whereas insurance with illness cover only pays out in the event of an illness. In turn, a combined insurance policy pays out following an accident or illness.
