If you have the HMO model KPTwin.plus and are ill, always proceed as follows:

1. Check your symptoms:
Your network doctor in the doctors’ network is your first point of contact. You can also call the telemedicine advice centre 24/7 for phone-based assistance.
2. Select treatment steps:
Your network doctor knows your medical history, provides comprehensive advice and coordinates all aspects of your further treatment.
1. To visit a specialist, you need a referral from your network doctor.
2. No referral is required for emergency treatment.
3. Order medication:
With the HMO model, you can order medication from the Zur Rose online pharmacy or visit any pharmacy.
4. Check your treatment plan:
Discuss your treatment plan with your network doctor.

The benefits available with basic health insurance are the same throughout Switzerland and from all health insurers. The insurance covers medically necessary treatments for illness, accident and maternity.
