The KPT Card is your personal insurance ID card. You need it when visiting a doctor, hospital or pharmacy. When you take out basic health insurance with KPT, we will send you the card by post. You can also access it in digital format in the KPT app.

What should I do if I need a new KPT Card?Order the card in the KPTnet customer portal. Log in to the KPTnet customer portal. Click the menu item Order in the navigation on the left. Click the Order KPT Card link. You will receive your insurance card within four weeks.

How do I receive my first KPT Card?If you are newly insured with KPT, you will automatically receive your KPT Card within two to three weeks. Are you going abroad prior to receiving your first KPT Card? Request a replacement certificate from your customer centre.

When do I need a new KPT Card?If you change your name. In this case, we will automatically send you a new card. If your address or insurance cover has changed, we will amend the details in the customer portal.

For how long is the KPT Card valid?The validity is shown on the front and back of the KPT Card. You will automatically receive a new card before the expiry date. Cut up and dispose of your old card.
