The KPT cooperative is committed to social responsibility. It uses the health safety net to support social projects in the field of health and provides assistance precisely where it is needed.
How the safety net works
The KPT cooperative shows social commitment. It uses the ‘health safety net’ to take action in areas where important health issues are neglected or people are unable to receive help through the usual protective systems. It makes one-off financial contributions – either upon request or on its own initiative.
Who benefits from the safety net?
KPT uses its social commitment activities to give back to society and boost solidarity.
It supports cooperative members in need, institutions with a broad impact on the health sector, socio-cultural projects and research and development.
Our success stories
The health safety net was launched in 2024. Since then, several institutions and projects have already benefited from its support. A selection of these is presented below.
VitaSen oasis
Independent living in old age: the ‘oasis’ is a good transitional solution for elderly people in temporary need of a comfortable home with 24-hour care.
allani children’s hospice
allani offers a safe and secure place for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and their family members, providing professional respite care in an attractive environment.
sitem-insel AG
The KPT cooperative contributes to the scholarship fund, supporting various start-ups and innovative projects in the medical field.
Tschugg rehab clinic
Tschugg rehab clinic has developed an innovative, digital therapy platform with a positive effect on patients’ rehabilitation. KPT supports this digitalisation project and collaboration between all parties involved.
Chatty benches – Bärähärz
The chatty benches installed by inclusivity champion the Bärähärz association in Bern city centre are special meeting places. Designed with an integrated space for wheelchair users, the benches encourage people with and without disabilities to come together and chat as equals.
